PARISH COMMISSIONS

  • Pastoral Council - The Council forms with the pastor a leadership group of the parish that is broadly representative of parish membership.  Through the council the Catholic laity, along with those who share in the pastoral care of the parish in virtue of their office, give their help in fostering pastoral activity.

  • Finance Council -

  • Education Commission - The Education Commission has the responsibility to identify the religious educational needs of the entire parish and to formulate long-range plans for meeting those needs.

  • Family Life and Social Justice Commission - The work of the Family Life and Social Justice Commission is to help all the members of the parish recognize that working for community needs is as essential to the life of the parish as is preaching the Word of God and celebrating the Eucharist.

  • Liturgical Commission - It will be the purpose of the Liturgy Commission to monitor all parish programs and ministries that directly affect the spiritual life of the parish.

  • Parish Activities Commission - The Parish Activities Commission of the council has as its responsibilities the planning and coordinating of all other commissions and volunteers to enable the parish to sponsor social gatherings.

  • Stewardship Commission  - The purpose of the Stewardship Commission is to assist our family of faith in understanding stewardship as a Holy Way of Life and to encourage disciples to recognize God as the origin and Source of Life and the Giver of every spiritual and material gift we possess.  "As Christian Stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord."
