TRAVELING CHALICE PROGRAM

"The harvest is plenty, the laborers are few"

     The Heartland Vocations Commission is continuing a "Traveling Chalice Ministry".  The idea is for families or individuals to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life.  Each weekend at one of the St. Joseph Masses, a parish member or family will receive the chalice to take home as a visible reminder to pray for vocations. 

     Inside the carrying case there will be vocation prayers and instructions for receiving and handling the chalice in your home.  Please pray that our youth will discern the vocation to which God is calling them.  After praying every day fro a week, the family or individual will return the chalice to the church by noon on Saturday and place it in the Sr. Clareann Sacristy.  Below is the current schedule for those receiving the chalice.  If you are interested in this program please contact the St. Joseph Parish Service Center by e-mail, or call us at 625-7356.
